Recently separated DEBRA MESSING isn’t messing around when it comes to moving on with her love life!
Just a month after announcing her split from her husband of more than 11 years, Daniel Zelman, the former “Will & Grace” star is already talking about moving in with her new beau Will Chase, 41. She’s even introduced Will, her co-star in the NBC show “Smash,” to her parents.
“Debra isn’t letting any moss grow under her feet,” said a source. “She’s already in love and about to take her relationship to the next level.”
At a Jan. 26 party for the “Smash” premiere screening, Debra, Will and her parents laughed and chatted as they dined on lobster, shrimp and lamb chops at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Temple of Dendur.
“Debra was having so much fun she didn’t want the evening to end!” noted one observer.
“At midnight, security guards told her the museum was closing, but she didn’t want to leave.”
While Debra may be over the moon, friends of Will’s estranged wife, Stephanie Gibson, are calling the 43-year-old actress a homewrecker.
“Will likes to make out that his marriage was already on the rocks before Debra came along,” said a source. “But the fact is, he and Stephanie had only been married a couple of years, and he didn’t announce his split until AFTER he started dating Debra.”
Will Chase appears as writer Julia Houston’s (Debra Messing) old flame, musical theater star Michael Swift. You can see Will Chase in the next episode of Smash “Mr. Dimaggio” airing February 20th on NBC. He will be performing Bruno Mar’s “Grenade.”
Raza Jaffrey plays Dev Sundaram on NBC’s “Smash,” Karen Cartwright’s (Katharine McPhee) live-in, super devoted, super-sweet boyfriend who works for the NYC mayor. Speakeasy talked with Jaffrey about why viewers should watch, and what’s in store for Dev and Karen.
What do you think will draw people to watch “Smash”?
Everyone knows “Smash” is about musical numbers and everyone knows we have fantastic dance sequences and great performances. What people will kind of take from the show as the season goes on is the quality of the drama; without a good story the show wouldn’t go on. There are human stories in it, it’s about more than just Broadway, it’s about bigger things, that’s why it’s fun to film it week in and week out.
Is it safe to say that Broadway is acting as a microcosm of the world?
When I first got the script, a year or more ago, a lot of people in the industry were cynical, “Would this show be too niche?” “How would you draw out a story about a small set of people in the entertainment community?” “In the Broadway community?” It’s a small group. I think “Smash” is obviously an ode to New York and an ode to Broadway, but it is about bigger things and human relationships. Everyone knows what it’s like to strive for things and want things. You can see human relationships, like the course of love, never running smooth.
Katharine Mcphee appeared on Live with Kelly yesterday morning and spoke out about her encounter and experience with the late Whitney Houston.
“Clive Davis asked me to sing for Whitney,” McPhee told Kelly Ripa and guest co-host Randy Jackson, “and I got to sing a Bodyguard medley for her.”
“She’s always been a real huge influence in my life and you always told us to never sing her songs,” McPhee said to Idol judge Randy Jackson at the timer. “No one can sing it like her, but you sure can dream to be just a smidgen of what she was.”
She even performed “I Have Nothing” during her run on American Idol 5. You can watch the video below:
‘She was just a classic, iconic American beauty, an American star,’ series star Katharine McPhee tells MTV News.
It seems like no matter where you turn in the pop culture realm lately, you are more than likely to find a reference to blond bombshell Marilyn Monroe. Nearly 50 years after Monroe died at the age of 36, she is still considered one of the most iconic figures in Hollywood history. So it’s no surprise that in 2012 she is having another shining moment.

Crushable.com has combined 5 facts that you need to know about the one and only Jack Davenport.
1. As a child, he was sent to the prestigious Dragon School in England, which counts among its alumni Emma Watson, Max Irons, Hugh Dancy, and Hugh Laurie.
2. He got his first job by writing to John Cleese for a spot in his zookeeper comedy Fierce Creatures. The child of actors, Jack wanted instead to get some behind-the-camera experience. He applied to join the film crew as a runner, but Cleese instead forwarded his letter over to casting, which got Jack cast as a young zookeeper.
